He was prize winner in the Van Loon Peace Essay Contest and comes with endorsements from Indiana Yearly Meeting Peace Committee and Friends Peace Association. Rush County total enrollment at semester end was 3837, down from 3863 at start. 1840 pupils were neither absent nor tardy, with health improving. 132 students returned to school via county attendance efforts. 49 admitted, 69 moved elsewhere. Lodge Honors Washington At Oyster Supper
Last Monday night the local Lodge of Masons enjoyed an oyster supper prepared by the ladies of the Christian church. Tables were prettily decorated with the George Washington setting.
