Mr. and Mrs. Floyd Reddick of Rush County east of Carthage will mark their 50th wedding anniversary with an open house on Sunday from 2 to 5 pm. Married March 6, 1907 in Rush County, they have lived on the same farm and have three daughters Ruth Stevens Lucile Reeves and Gladys Geise, one son Roy, six grandchildren and one great grandson.

Florida State University student Lewis Hardin Jr. dies suddenly
Lewis Hardin Jr., 21, a Florida State University student and 1954 Greenfield High School graduate, died last Saturday in Florida. He was active in the Friends church and the Kappa Alpha social fraternity. Survivors include his parents of Greenfield and grandfather Carl V. Hardin. Funeral services were held Wednesday at Pasco Mortuary Greenfield with burial in Washington Park Cemetery.

New Beauty Shop To Open Here In Carthage
A new beauty shop will open in Carthage on March 11 with Miss Annis Jean McDaniel daughter of Mr and Mrs Rue McDaniel starting the venture. She graduated Central Beauty College January 29 and passed the Indiana Board exam February 8. The shop occupies a new room added to her parents home on South Walnut Street. An open house is set for March 8 9 with door prize registration for attendees.

Raiders Fall to Frankton in Season Finale
The Carthage Raiders trailed late and lost to Frankton 44 to 5 in the final game of the season. A strong local start gave way to Frankton's pressing defense causing costly errors and a late collapse.
