Homes lost roofing, fruit trees damaged, and livestock disrupted. one resident narrowly escaped injury during a railing and fence collapse while riding to Indianapolis. Local utilities report widespread outages as crews assess extensive damage.

Lightning also split a large pine at J Earl Sear’s residence.
J O Nelson states his partially wrecked auto hit a traction car at Arlington Thursday morning. He and Frank Swift planned to drive south then return to meet an implement man. They stopped at the depot. the slow speed left little time to react, and Nelson denies blaming the car crew.
Mr Grover C. Drake of Evansville married Miss Naomi C. White daughter of Mrs Sarah A. White on June 22 at eight P M in the home of Rev. Guvaise Roughton of the Broadway M E church Cincinnati. Drake, a shoe salesman recently in Indianapolis, plans to locate in Cincinnati or Chicago with Mrs Drake.
O Hill learned Wednesday afternoon that his sister Mrs Aseneth H. Reece had died that morning in Westchester Pennsylvania. She had been ill for months. He left Wednesday night to attend the Saturday funeral.
Patrons are requested to return milk bottles every day. Fletcher Branson signs the public notice seeking the return of bottles.
Mrs. Fannie Baker of Washington arrives Wednesday to visit her sister Mrs. R. E. Henley.
