Rites Held For Grace Newhouse
Grace F Newhouse 57 of Posey Township Rushville died 2 20 p m Saturday in Henry County Hospital New Castle after a week as patient. Born April 25 1907 she was daughter of Henry F and Estella W Ad dison married Frank B Newhouse April 27 1926 who survives. She was active in Han Negan Christian Church and notable in home economics. Survivors include daughter Wanda Liggett half sister Bessie Earnest half brother John Sherman Addison and three grandchildren. Services were held 2 p m Tuesday at Wyatt Moore Memorial Rushville conducted by Revs Ted Williams and Raymond V Smith.

Cap t Edwards a retired government worker from Athens Alabama settled on Osage Drive near Lake Ola Florida and built a 22 foot cruiser with a 155 hp Buick engine using a carport as a workshop. The project began during World War I and culminated after his 1961 move to Lake Ola with a boat designed to be livable yet mobile.

Methodist Bishop Urges Churches to Seek Racial Justice
In Bloomington the Rev Richard C Raines urged Indiana's 1300 churches to act for racial justice during the closing service of the Methodist Conference. He warned the Supreme Court desegregation ruling was necessary only if churches had acted to remove barriers and called for the church to join the forces of justice. He said time is running out but the Negro will win recognition as a child of God and citizen, urging the church to identify with justice and reconciliation.
