New Postal Regulations End Assumptions on Undelivered Parcels

The post office department announces that from August 1 mailers of parcels must guarantee return postage or waive all claim to the parcel. Officials say the rule will cut undeliverable parcels to about one third, saving thousands for the public and government and ending wasteful handling. Currently about 300,000 parcels yearly are stored for six months while attempts to collect payment occur, costing salaries believed to total around 50,000 dollars annually.
