Y M C A Leases Camp Bedford For Six Months
The State Y M C A agrees to lease Camp Bedford for six months starting June 1 as part of a government co operation with the Governor's Commission on Unemployment Relief. Repairs kitchen upgrades and grounds work will be done under the state architect and a Y M C A committee. No boys or girls camps operate at Camp Bedford this summer.

Scouts Claim Credit for Camp Wahpakamiki Weather
The local Scout Troop claims credit for last week’s rain after a Camp Wahpakamiki campout in Hagerstown. Fourteen scouts and Rev. Pickett endured a wet night, earned merit badges in swimming and life saving, and won second place in the camp swimming contest. About one hundred scouts attended, with a minor court awarding pins to several members. Three one week camping periods are planned in July thanks to the camp ground generosity of Mr. Teeter of Hagerstown.
