Mrs. Fannie Reynolds of Center ville retires after 35 years as a public school teacher, mostly in fifth grade. Born in Williamsburg, Wayne County, she taught 16 years at Carthage and 19 at Center ville. a special dinner recognized her service by the Abbington Classroom Centerville Teachers Association. In softball, Rush County Merchants and Carthage opened with wins. Carthage defeated Thomas Market 3 to 2 as Kuhn homered and R Magee had a triple.
