Explaining Indiana real estate reassessment plans
A second letter in a three part series clarifies that the eight year real estate reassessment aims to share tax burdens fairly, not raise taxes. It explains how assessed value, local budgets, and tax rates interact and notes next year’s rate depends on budgets and votes after reassessment completion. It also reports Rushville High School graduation and Memorial Day boating.
