Former Carthage Resident Dies in Columbus Hotel
Dale Wolf aged 57 died suddenly of a heart attack in a Columbus Ohio hotel on July 20 while attending a press association meeting. He was the youngest son of the late Mr and Mrs J G Wolf former Carthage residents who published five weekly newspapers in Cincinnati suburbs. He is survived by three brothers and one sister.

Reverend Crim to Lead Lebanon Wesleyan Church
Reverend Howard Crim of the local Wesleyan church will leave in mid August for Lebanon Indiana to accept the call after three years in Carthage. He is the first new pastor for the Lebanon church and brings his wife and three children Winifred Ruth and John Allen. The Crim family planned to move by September 1 following his th b degree from Marion College in 1929 and prior pastorates in Mt Zion Henry County North Liberty and other circuits.

Clifford D. Pierce of Memphis Tennessee was unanimously advanced from first vice president to president of the International Association of Lions Clubs at the annual Philadelphia convention which closed July 19. He succeeds Dr Ramiro Collazo of Havana Cuba. A Gunn Haydon, 70, Rushville hardware merchant, died suddenly Sunday night of a heart attack after attending morning services at the First Presbyterian church. He founded his store 35 years ago and planned a grand opening for a new Main street building. Funeral services were held Wednesday at Wyatt Memorial mortuary. Survivors include his widow, two children, two grandchildren, two sisters, and five brothers.
