Wool Growers Plan For 1931 Indiana session elects officers
Indiana Wool Growers Association met February 9 in Indianapolis to elect officers and directors and chart cooperative marketing for 1931. Needler reported a rise in 1930 pool volume to over 520000 pounds from 255000 in 1929, aided by education campaigns and ties with the National Wool Marketing Corporation. Carleton M. Allen noted 35 percent of sales handled by the national group helped hold prices about five cents above baseline. Ferris and Needler were re elected, with a larger campaign planned to recruit more producers into cooperative marketing and expand the national plan’s reach.
