Indiana Department of Conservation will send a five minute questionnaire to 23 000 random license buyers over 30 days to study hunting and fishing habits and game killed. Earlier estimates show rabbits 2 000 000 plus squirrels 1 500 698 pheasants 58 000 and ducks 123 000. Plans are under way for the tenth annual Southeastern Indiana District 4-H Fat Steer Show and Sale with a September 15 event at the Rush County Livestock Show Pavilion. Steve Reed was named judge. Hoyt Vanderbeck to auction. entries due August 18 at the Rush County extension office. An Angus sponsor award offers $10 to champion and $15 extra if the Angus steer is Grand Champion. The Rushville Chamber of Commerce backs the show for a tenth year and may display prior Grand Champions. An award for best herdman is also considered.
