Young Jackson Boy Dies After Short Illness
Paul Lewis Jackson four year old son of Mary Jackson died at his grandparents home on the range line road west of Carthage after a ten to eleven day illness of tonsillitis. Born May 16 1934 he had lived with his mother at the Jackson home. Funeral services will be held at the Jackson home at 10 00 Saturday morning with interment in Glencove cemetery.

John B. Schwin a 94 year old Covington Indiana editor of the Covington Friend for 51 years will be honored at the Indiana Democratic Editorial Association winter meeting in Indianapolis February 11. A Civil War veteran he still works daily drives himself to work and hopes to reach 100 years. His son George is editor of the Friend and grandson George Jr. edits the Rockville Tribune.

Aged Rushville Pioneer Samuel Kennedy Dies at 80
Samuel Kennedy 80 a Rush county pioneer died Saturday at his son Charles Kennedy home near Knightstown after years of ill health and a recent pneumonia. Born June 28 1858 in Shelby County he moved to Rush county with his parents and lived there most of his life. Surviving are four sons Orba Earl Sam Jr and Charles. three daughters Mrs Scott Ward Mrs Albert Beckner and Mrs Carl Beckner. a sister Mrs Martha Beatty. Funeral Monday at 2 p m at Arlington Christian church conducted by Rev Ernest Addison. Burial Arlington Cemetery.

Nickle Plate Railroad Crashes Into Auto Near Dunreith
The Nickle Plate freight train struck a car on U S Route 40 at Dunreith last Thursday afternoon, injuring four people who were taken to Henry County Hospital with minor injuries. Passengers included G. A. Sheehand of Gary and M. G. Margolis and M. D. Moss of Indianapolis, plus an unnamed woman. The auto was demolished. witnesses said the train did not whistle and the car occupants did not see it in time.

State to designate Warrington road as No. 7 highway
The Warrington road from Knightstown toward Anderson via Wilkinson and Markleville will become a state highway designated No. 7. State maintenance should begin in spring after right of way acquisitions. The move, long discussed, aims to connect Anderson and Knightstown and save up to 15 miles for southeastern residents traveling to Madison County seat.
