The Independent Tourney for the district will be at Carthage High School at night on February 13 14 15 and 16 and all day Saturday February 18. Twenty teams are expected from Rush Fenry Decatur and Shelby counties to enter the regional meet. The winner advances to the state meet at Tipton March 12 13 and 14.
The Farm Bureau program featured True Love and Good Oil with an address by B L Everson. The evening centered on membership, with solicitors listed as S Parker Harry Bentley Jess Andis James McGeorge Don Addison Donald Stoten Roy Herkless and M F Lovett. Refreshments followed the business portion. The next program was set for Monday February 27 at the High School hosted by Mr and Mrs James McGeorge and Mr and Mrs Noah Leisure.
The Wesleyan Church announces prayer meetings on Tuesday at 7:00 PM and Thursday cottage gatherings in homes. Sunday School is at 9:30 AM, with preaching by the pastor at 1:30 PM and 7:00 PM. The pastor Rev. Edward Smithee and Superintendent Mrs. Fred McCorkel invite all to attend.
