The Carthage Blue Raiders defeated Milroy five in a tight gym contest Friday night, 1967 era style. Harcourt Milroy’s top scorer was held to two points while Kuhn Dimed scoreless as Carthage built a defense led lead. Larry Hunt led Carthage with nine points with Grisby close behind as Milroy’s bench fell short 16-13 after three quarters.

Rush County Corn Show to Open December 30 31
The Rush County Corn Show will be in the Rushville courthouse basement on Tuesday and Wednesday December 30 and 31 with a culinary exhibit. Exhibits must be in place by 10 AM Tuesday, and awards will be presented at a noon banquet on Wednesday in the American Legion room. 4-H members receive event tickets for completed projects and Corn Club participants must show their corn to earn a ticket. Arrested in J. P. Court for Passing School Bus
Charlies Roberts of Charlottesville was arrested Monday by Marshall Lon McCorkle on an affidavit by Roy Tanner alleging he passed a school bus unloading children. He pleaded guilty before Justice of Peace Rhodes and was fined $10 with $4.90 in court costs.
