Ripley township conservation club enters the eighth annual Crow Control Contest starting January 1, announced by Virgil M. Simmons, commissioner of the Department of Conservation. About one hundred clubs expected by opening day. The five month 1941 contest ends May 31 as conservationists seek to reduce crow numbers and protect wildlife. Monthly awards to the five clubs turning in the most crow feet, with each club receiving one quail or pheasant for every 100 crow feet.
