Postal tips urge careful addressing and return addresses as Christmas mail rises. Rural routes shift schedules and stamps are sold in book form. The Big Four railroad announces a new schedule effective Dec. 5 causing changes on several lines. Southbound passengers may return only at noon while northbound travelers returning at noon must wait until the next day. Mail and express services are affected and some nearby subscribers may receive papers a day late.
