Miss Verna Howard of Carthage sues Florence M. Parker probation officer alleging false arrest and imprisonment. The suit filed in Rush County circuit court on November 25 seeks 40000 with 25000 for damages and 15000 for attorney fees after Parker allegedly compelled Howard to Anderson and detained her in Madison County May 23 to May 31, 1935.
Two Indianapolis men Clarence Jordan aged 36 and John Hanrahan aged 19 pleaded guilty to grand larceny in Rush county court after robbing the Am os Hill farm home west of Carthage Saturday night. Jordan drew 1 to 10 years in the state peniten tiary while Hanrahan received 60 days on the penal farm.
Department of Conservation representatives face a heavy winter speaking schedule with daily requests for talks and slide shows on conservation. They address Indianapolis high and junior high classes through January 18, often four groups a day, with talks extending to schools outside Indianapolis.
