Lions Club Meets Monday Night in Carthage
The Carthage Lions gathered last Monday night to view pictures and hear Harold McConkey discuss soil conservation. They donated five dollars to the Christmas Seal campaign, planned a Ladies night Christmas party for December 12 and a Children's Christmas Party on December 23, and appointed a committee to decorate a large tree for the public square if available.

Golden Dawn Farms of Ripley Township repeated their success at the International Livestock Exposition in Chicago returning with the Grand Champion beef carcass from an Angus steer. The herd’s winning entry was sired by Richmar Eilenmeer 37th and weighed 1115 pounds with a 65.5 percent dressing.
