Squirrel law and pollution threaten Big Blue river fishing

Local hunters report the squirrel season opener on Saturday while Big Blue river fishers face decades of pollution and vegetation decimating native species. Crawfish thrive, fish populations collapsed, angering Carl Stevens, Markus McClurg, Mayne Magee, Caleb Marsh, Ed Oliver, and others. Concerns point at paper mill pollution and slow state action, amid rising reckless driving and a looming end to the softball season. Rep Raymond S Springer did not vote for the veterans pay bill as Congress moved to five year bonds. Tax budgets for Ripley Township and Carthage Corp show a reduced rate and financial stability, with a planned Friday meeting to wrap up the season.
