Mrs Ella Young Moore wife of R T Moore died Monday night after months of illness. Survived by husband two children seven grandchildren two brothers one half brother and one half sister. Funeral held Wednesday at 2 00 pm at North Main home Rev George Holwager officiated with three hymns by Mrs Earl Nowotne and Mrs Henry Jessup. Burial at Asbury Cemetery Morristown.
Mrs Ella Young Moore born November 18 1865 died August 5 1935 aged 69 years She was the daughter of James and Nancy Young She joined the Christian church in Shelby county and married R T Moore October 11 1883 She is survived by her husband two children Charles D and Daisy Moore Sullivan and one other son Jasper who died in infancy Also survived by seven grandchildren two brothers Noah Young of Carthage and Nathan Young of Mooresville one half sister Mrs J V Moore and one half brother Elza Young Her life was quiet and gentle and after blindness affliction she rarely left home She will be missed by those who knew her.

Walter Cook aged 59 died at his brother Will Cook s home Tuesday around 2 00 am from dropsy and heart trouble. Born August 21 1876 in Ripley county North Carolina he moved with family to Ohio in 1881 and to Carthage in 1888. Services Thursday at 2 00 pm at Fletcher M E church conducted by Rev N L Schoolfield with burial in Riverside cemetery.
Thieves entered the Texaco Filling Station run by Harold Phelps by breaking the floor glass above the night lick. A radio and valve cores were stolen, the cash drawer contained no cash, and many tires and tubes remained untouched. Town marshal Harry Rhodes and Sheriff Hardvick are investigating.

The local Friends and Christian churches will provide meals on Wednesday with co chairs Mrs. Rawls and Mrs. Anna Sipe. Daily schedule runs from six in the morning to ten at night with classes in the morning and sports in the afternoon. Vesper services are at seven each evening with Rev Morris D Wilson of Arlington Christian church as speaker throughout the week. Open to interested visitors outside conference hours.
Under the 1935 Indiana act about used vehicle licensing about 1,000 dealers have secured licenses and all dealers were given final notice to obtain one. The license fee for 1935 is 2.50 dollars and applies to new car dealers used car dealers junk dealers finance companies and others handling used parts or trades. Records must be kept and open to inspection by police and sheriff in the operator’s county.
