Lions Win District Opener 14 7 Over Spruce Apaches
The AL Turner Lions trailed 7 0 but rallied in the final minutes for a 14 7 Homecoming victory over H Grady Spruce Apaches of Rylie in District 5 AAA opener at Lion Stadium. Ken Chris moan tied it with a 67 yard run and Baker Montgomery scored on a one yard push plus two points. The Lions face an open date this week then travel to Brewer near Fort Worth for a district run.

A Grapevine parade begins at the depot on October 19 at 5 PM, ending at the Austin Patio Ranch Arena for a Junior Rodeo benefiting the Grapevine Band. Proceeds fund the band, with $1 adults, 50c students, event fees $1 or $2, and addition of Claude M. Smith with his trained Brahman bull.
