The Lone Star Gas Co. told Mayor Bi Dodson of Farmers Branch that natural gas should be available in the city by July or August. Portwood of the company said pipes are arriving, allowing earlier installation though a winter target had been stated. Dodson has worked on the project for months as Farmers Branch seeks improved utilities after incorporation.

Mrs Harriett Ford Gulledge 78 longtime Carrollton resident died Wednesday noon after two weeks of illness. She was born December 17 186? in Alan Texas daughter of George W Ford and Angelia Ford. She married John Henry Growe in 1882 later married Clinton J Gulledge in 1900. Survived by four sons T Grone Celina George Crue Winufield Texas, four daughters Virginia Peaton Plarmore Branch, Leora Vane Dallas, Pleona Anderson Houston, and many grandchildren great grandchildren and stepchildren. The Carrollton Legionnaires face the Dodd Independents on the local field Monday evening in a Teague game. Earlier, they hosted Butane Kauipmmt at Granwylor Park in another Teague matchup. Farmers Branch Baptiste beat Carrollton 2 to 4 Monday. Legionnaires posted seven hits and 11 men left on base. Tuesday, the squad rebounded against Dallas Linenine 14 to 165, Massa Hourtis and Good shining as Dixie Perry drove in five.
