Eliza Gillum Dies in Carrollton Home Parish Death Rites
Eliza Cook Gillum died Friday morning December 18 at 8 o'clock at the home of her daughter Mrs Arthur Good in Knutman County. The body was brought to Carrollton for burial after services at the Methodist church Saturday evening. Interment was in Perry cemetery beside her husband who died in 1908. Born April 3 1846 in Bowling Green Kentucky she married Pleasant Green Gillum in November 1872 and lived in Kentucky Texas Richardson Carrollton. She was a Presbyterian in youth later joined the Methodist church. Survived by one son E A Gillum of Yoakum Texas two daughters Mrs A Johnston Carrollton and Mrs Arthur Good Filwe and eight grandchildren. Funeral conducted by Rev Ly B Crown with pallbearers listed. Undertakers were Die Miners Sveviee.
