Kuemper Knights Baseball Eyes 2002 Challenge After Upset Run
Kuemper aims for 2002 after a dramatic post season sent them to their first state tourney since 1975. The Knights defeated Denison Schleswig, Carroll, and Webster City before a 7-4 state semifinal loss to Mount Pleasant. Veterans like Blum Molitor Heithoff and Barta lead a strong core, while new coach Jerry Spieler returns with a renewed squad.
