Century Farm Threshing Bee Celebrates Old Time Farming Traditions
Auburn farmer Sigmon and friends showcase threshing, baling, shelling, and engine exhibits at a free admission event drawing about 3,000 visitors. Exhibitors range from 25 to 30. food stands, including homemade ice cream, accompany demonstrations of 50s era farming methods and the hand fed McCormick baler. Sigmon, 63, grew up on this farm now spanning 480 acres with son Clint farming 200 more in Calhoun County.
