United Way Curb Painting Fundraiser in Carroll Set
United Way of Carroll hosts its 2nd annual curb painting fundraiser with volunteers meeting August 25 at 8 am at Southside Park open shelter house. A $10 donation paints house numbers on curbs to support a 2002 goal of 97,000 and benefits 17 area agencies.

Three area hospitals Manning Regional Healthcare Center Crawford County Memorial Hospital Denison will begin affiliation with Siouxland Community Blood Bank this month. Stewart Memorial Hospital Lake City will start Oct 1. St Anthony Regional Hospital recently began receiving blood products from Sioux City blood bank. Siouxland will hold drives in Manning Denison Lake City and nearby communities. Prior donations credited to donors in the donor recognition program.
