Barn Fire Destroys Whitesburg Bar Beloved by Mr. Ansley
In Whitesburg on Monday night a fire destroyed the bar of Mr. Quinn S. Anstey, with oats and straw burned in the barn. The dwelling and livestock were saved, and no insurance covered the loss estimated at 800 to 900 dollars. Neighbors have begun assistance, and the origin remains uncertain, with theories ranging from spontaneous combustion to cats left in threshing.
