Winder Georgia, a thrice-bordered town of 3,000, pushes to form Barrow County by annexing parts of Jackson Gwinnett and Walton. The plan would create a 178 square mile county with 11,850 population and 2.125 million in taxable value, keeping Winder as seat while two rail lines Seaboard Air Line and Gainesville Midland serve the area.
The notice outlines weekly church activities including morning and evening sermons, Sunday School, Sunbeam and Gideon bands, and various society meetings. It lists officials such as J. C. Bass as Chairman, Humber Cheney as Clerk, B. L. Garrett as Treasurer, and other leaders with duties in finances publicity and union committees. It requests reports be mailed to the publicity manager and, if transport is needed, to notify Mr. Holmes for Sunday pickup.
