A July 24 promotion announces a 15 day Clean Sweep Sale across all summer goods in every department of the Carrollton store. The policy is to sacrifice seasonal stock to fund new fall merchandise, with emphasis on clean, reasonably priced items and avoiding fake disposal. The sale runs until all summer goods are closed out.
Sale items include 250 dark pattern shirts with cuffs attached or detached priced at 0 cents for selection. Also offered are Balbriggan shirts and drawers at 35 cents, Poros Knit underwear at 45 cents, with other 190 garments and 89 cent items noted.
All new Spring and Summer Suits one four off with blue serges and blacks. Stock includes Hart Schaffner & Marx Kirschbaum and ExtracooD lines. Three tables of specials in broken lots priced from 10.00 to 18.00: Table No. 1 table No. 2 table No. 3.
A large stock of umbrellas in black taffeta and serge as well as color varieties will be sold at reduced prices. Silk and paper fans are priced from 10 cents to 1.50 with silk fans cataloged at 25 to 46 per cent? off.
A large sale features various fabrics offered by the yard and table.
