Bowdon Celebrates First Train on New Railroad
Bowdon marked a big day with crowds arriving from across the region to welcome the Atlanta special train via Newnan and Carrollton. The event included a parade, college program, speeches by W C Adamson and J M Terrell, and a 4000 pound barbecue as Bowdon’s town leadership and Dr. Jas L Lovvorn were praised for making the railroad possible.
