A protracted meeting of one week will be held at the Christian Church in Carrollton beginning next Sunday August 11 at 11 a.m. Elder D A Brindle of Griffin Georgia will preach with song services by Prof Mulling. Attendees urged to come daily for worship and gospel teaching.

Willing Workers Met at Mrs. Smiths Spring Street Home

Georgia Power Buy Carrollton Electric Plant
Georgia Power and Electric Company bought the entire Carrollton Electric Plant this week and will take charge immediately. J G Cheney remains as general manager. A power line from Newnan to Carrollton is planned, likely closing the old plant. The company will install meters and may affect rates, with a 99 year nonexclusive franchise from the city.
