Santa Claus Fund mobilizes Carlisle aid drive
Eighteen ladies and four men met at the Roberts and Sproatt homes to organize a Santa fund for Carlisle children. Donors asked to leave clothing and supplies at specified homes or mail letters to Santa through The Carlisle News office. An ongoing meeting set for next Monday at seven, with a cash donation already received.

Death of Miss Julia Sisson Near Pleasantville
Mrs. Julia Sisson died Monday at her home near Pleasantville after a four day illness. She is survived by two brothers, John W. of Jefferson township and Dan of Oklahoma, and three sisters Mrs. James Anderson of Pleasantville, Mrs. James Wells near Pleasantville, and Mrs. Oscar Graham who lived with her.

Little Girl Hurt In Plank Bridge Accident
Nine year old Dorothy Prose, daughter of Mr and Mrs John D Prose, suffered cuts to her nose face and a badly cut tongue after falling on a plank bridge near her Terre Haute home. She was unconscious for over four hours but is recovering with bruises and facial injuries healing.

Mrs. Til Ogle who had been dangerously ill at her home in this city was taken to Mercy Hospital in Chicago Sunday night under Dr E Whipps care. She was operated on by Dr J B Murphy of Chicago.
