The district high school rodeo will be held June 5 6 and 7 at Springs High School with nine schools participating including Pocatello Blackfoot American Falls Snake Bear Lake Soda Marsh Valley and more. Fires In Idaho Falls and Lava Hot Springs Burned
Two fires in Idaho at Idaho Falls and Lava Hot Springs were quickly controlled. One blaze in the Cot protective district burned about 75 acres Saturday and was fought with a brush truck and crew. A second blaze near Lava Hot Springs involved a train and required assistance from Caribou National Forest and Land Management. The public urged caution and noted burning permits are required for fires outside cities.

Immunization Clinic Here June 5
An immunization clinic will be held Thursday June 5 in the county public health nurse office in the Court House basement. Infants to adults are eligible. The clinic starts at 9 30 a m with no charge. DPT polio boosters and smallpox revaccination are encouraged for children entering first grade and adults should get diphtheria tetanus booster and smallpox revaccination every 10 years. Dr Allen Tigert will administer the vaccines.
