Caribou Development Corp Ready for Soda Springs Area

At a Chamber of Commerce meeting on March 1 the Caribou Development Corporation announced readiness to activate after a year of planning. It outlines aims to foster industrial growth in Soda Springs Idaho and to assist new and expanding businesses in the area. The firm plans to raise 500 shares at 100 each, totaling 50000, with officers including Jerry K. Reeve as president and director and Stanley F. Darius as vice president. The initial priority is selling stock to fund operations and activities.

Duhamel Captures State Snowmobile Crown in Idaho

Yvon Duhamel of Valcourt Canada won the Idaho State Snowmobile Racing championship finale at Snow Races. He rode an 800 modified Skidoo to victory earning 500 dollars and a goose down jacket amid a $11 000 purse. Local racers Rusty Hayes Wilder Hatch Lloyd Wilson Ken Reed placed in events. Sno-Drifters plan Pro-Am races next season to classify drivers by level rather than machines.

Wipe Out Reading Illiteracy By 79 Goal Publicized

The International Reading Association sets illiteracy eradication as a 1979 objective.
