Utah Power opens Laugh ton Steam Plant near Kemmerer Wyoming
Utah Power and Light dedicates the Laugh ton Plant four miles southwest of Kemmerer to serve Intermountain West demand. The 150000 kilowatt facility uses Kemmerer coal with water from Lake Viva Naughton and links to UP&L and Pacific Power grids for interconnection and reliability.
