Pioneer Families of Soda Springs Chronicle Early Idaho Roots
The Soda Springs pioneer roster names Horsley Lau Gorton Strachan Anderson and others. Neils Anderson and Mary Christopherson wed in 1863, Abraham C. Anderson born 1865, and George W. Gorton with Leah Waylett founded Gorton’s Wholesale. Notable figures include Dr Ellis Kackley and Mayor Henry Finch, with long civic service and local business roots. The note credits Fairview Cemetery donations and the Largillere banking venture as signals of community growth.
