Local Court Posts Fines For Reckless Driving and Red Light
Mrs Verna Porter of Tacoma Washington fined $38 after pleading guilty to reckless driving by Justice of the Peace Lee Wallace cited by Sheriff Ralph Marriott following a Bear county collision at Main and Highway 30N. Joe Echandia of Soda Springs fined $8 for running a red light at the same intersection Monday evening by the same justice. City Officer D E Jones issued the citations. Several local justices reported no cases this week and Roe White of Bancroft is on vacation.

Seven Cars Damaged In One Idaho Collision
Seven cars were damaged Tuesday morning when a Porter car from Montpelier collided with a Hildreth car from Soda Springs and a line of parked vehicles near the Idaho cafe on Main and Highway 30 N. The Hildreth Buick and several other cars were damaged. Porter was cited for reckless driving and fined $38 with a 30 day license suspension. Frell M Owl spoke at the Soda Springs Kiwanis on American Indian trusteeship and integration policy. Mr and Mrs Stan Mathews and their son returned to Soda Springs after military service in Georgia. he will run the family insurance department from the M J Ruggles cottage.

Central resident Funeral services were held Feb 15 in California with Bishop S L officiating. Born in Richmond he moved to Central, worked for Fred, married to son and daughter of Bishop, later moved to Grace where brother Ivan ran a shop until his death.
