Work Trailer Blast Injures Employee at Monsanto Site
Steven Peterson, 21, from Blackfoot, was injured Thursday morning when a work trailer at the Monsanto Co. site north of Soda Springs exploded while he relit a propane heater. Peterson, an employee of Price Co., suffered a head laceration and burns on hands face and neck. He was listed in fair condition at Caribou Memorial Hospital. The trailer, used to prep insulation for the Lab Building, had propane gas buildup despite attempts to air out the area.
