Death Claims Pioneer Resident Abraham Soderman

Abraham Soderman 88 of Soda Springs died Monday in Caribou County Hospital from a cerebral hemorrhage. Born June 15 1876 in Purtom Finland to John and Beata Sidbeck Soderman he was a rancher and farmer and early Grays Lake settler. Survived by son John of Wayan daughter Edna of Lava Hot Springs three grandchildren and three great grandchildren. Funeral at Soda Springs Presbyterian Church with burial in Fairview Cemetery.

Merlin I Bishop was announced as Forest Supervisor of the Cache National Forest by Intermountain Regional Forester Floyd Iverson. A Delta Utah native and 1940 Utah State University forestry graduate, Bishop has held multiple Forest Service roles including range administration and staff officer in the Regional Office.
