Grace City Skunk Bounty Continues Despite Vanishing Invasion
Grace City officials maintain a bounty program begun five years ago to curb a skunk invasion. Clerk Mardean Pack paid the fifteenth bounty of the year for a skunk tail. Once dozens of bounties were issued, but this year only 15 were paid as the nocturnal visitors have largely vanished.

Immunization Clinic Set For January 6
The Southeastern District Health Department will hold a free immunization clinic on Thursday January 6 1972 from 8 00 to 9 30 AM in the Public Health nurse office at the Courthouse. Infants at 6 weeks to 2 months and up to adults may attend with vaccines offered for Diphtheria Pertussis Tetanus Polio Red Measles Rubella Measles and German or 8 day measles. Smallpox vaccination is no longer recommended.

Grace City officials met December 21 with Mayor C D Simmons H B Lowe and Fred Van Vleet present. Clerk Mardean Pack read minutes from December 7 which were approved. The city will mail Grace Businessmen's Organization 26 to cover prize money for Christmas decorations. Snow removal crews were aided by keeping cars off streets. December bills were read and approved. Richard Kirby sought permission to use a team of horses for caroling January 21.

Mrs Hap Spencer Wins Grand Prize In Grace Drawing
Mrs Hap Spencer won the $50 grand prize in Grace drawing held last Thursday. Several numbers were drawn before hers. Neal Sanders conducted and Nellie Johnson oversaw the final drawing for the last chance to win. Earlier weekends issued $5 and $10 certificates to pre Christmas winners as businesses supported residents. Only a few people attended the final event.
