Idaho will receive about $930000 from a $16 million nationwide pool to repave and upgrade the Lewis and Clark highway base and plan, plus $500000 to advance the Stanley-Lowman scenic all weather highway through the Sawtooth mountains. Funds for Highway 22 will finish reconstructing the last unimproved 131 mile Boise to Stanley Basin segment. The federal grant was approved a year after Idaho submitted its 1989 fiscal request.
