Caribou Business and Professional Women's club announces its charter officers led by Mrs Faye Evans as president and Lula Barnard as first vice president. New members Londonia Marriott Mary Stoker and Phyll Petek receive pending charter status as the group invites women to join. A Christmas dinner and charter membership drive are planned.
Kids and parents are invited to a Saturday morning event featuring free treats and a 10 30 a m movie in Caribou County. Organizers led by Larry Bergen promise a big celebration with community entertainment and a free film screening for all attendance.
The Lions Club announces a Ladies Night on December 15 at the Idaho Cafe. A banquet will be served and a musical program provided for attendees.

A strong wind whipped the empty trailer and caused the jackknife. Sheriff Ralph estimated damage around 100 dollars.
A United Press report from Boise states the Idaho Public Utilities Commission granted Intermountain Gas Co. a franchise for southern Idaho, ending a protracted battle with Idaho Natural Gas Co. The latter seeks rehearing and may pursue appeals to state and U S Supreme courts, challenging the commission’s award and potential legal authority.

A wall section collapsed while digging a hole at the Monsanto plant injuring a Soda Springs resident. The man was taken to Caribou County hospital with multiple fractures. extent of injuries not yet determined. Monsanto officials reported no employees nearby at the time.
Mr and Mrs George Rinehart of New Plymouth plan a visit here on Monday after spending several days in town due to the illness of hired Larson.
Rites conducted for a former resident born in Greentop moved to Lar Sept. 8, 1886, later living in Kansas. The deceased had one sister, Vina Bowen Marler, who died May 27, and left behind three brothers.
James Stoker high school music instructor announced a benefit program to raise funds for band uniforms. The event features a sing chorus and an auction at the school gym to support the marching band.
