Local Woman Honored At State Licensed Practical Nurses Meet
Beulah Moore, charter member of the Licensed Practical Nurses Association, received a ribbon rose and a Florence Nightingale lamp at the 25th annual convention at Boise State College. She has 31 years of service in local hospitals. Eight charter members attended, including four from Soda Springs: Elsie Woodall Isabel Beus Norma Matthews and Mrs Moore. Other attendees included Mary Meiners Phyllis Olson and Barbara Olson. The event featured a seminar student day with 124 students and 170 LPNs, followed by business and program sessions and a tour of the Mountain States Tumor Institute.

Funds Allocated for Hooper Spring Park Development
Earl Gunnell, chairman of the State Parks Board, announced a $7 530 71 check to Soda Springs for Hooper Spring Park work. The payment funds picnic facilities fencing water system and part of site improvements under the Land and Water Conservation Fund with 50 percent federal match.
