Earl Green Post American Legion sponsors a Mass meeting at the high school auditorium on Monday evening September 17 at 8 00 o clock. The agenda includes band selections readings of the mayor proclamation invocations songs led by various groups and an address on the U S Constitution. Auto Collision Injures Marion Couple in Dense Fog
Mr and Mrs Russell McEvoy of Marion were injured when their Oldsmobile collided with a truck driven by Dick Liles of Forest on U S 23 a mile south of Brush Ridge. Dense fog caused the crash. Mrs McEvoy bruised ankle and Mr McEvoy minor cuts. The couple were returning to Marion from Caney. Mrs Stoll is their daughter.

Carey Doctor Released After Fatal Collision Investigation
Dr. R. J. Lemons of Carey was cleared temporarily after a crash at Lafayette and Harrod roads that killed a Chicago woman, with release pending further inquiry. Coroner Harry Lewis said no eye witnesses were found and both drivers may be at fault. the Chicago car reportedly sped and Lemons did not stop. Four others were injured in the Keiser vehicle driven by Ernest Keiser. Elsie Keiser died.
