Reunion of Co F 9th Ohio Cavalry in Carey
The 32nd annual reunion of Co F 9th Ohio Volunteer Cavalry was held at Water Works park last Saturday. Twelve comrades answered roll call including Jacob Gatchell and William H. Hall of Upper Sandusky, Charles Hottman, William French from Napolen, and W H Karr of Carey. A long letter from absent comrade Arnett Oklahoma recalled Civil War tales and Sherman’s Georgia march.

Seventh Tong Family Reunion in H B Tong Grove
The seventh annual Tong reunion was held in H B Tong Grove on August 28 with 220 seated for dinner. A decorative program featured Rev. De Vaux, Scott Tong, and multiple Tong family members, followed by elections of Sherman Tong as president and Garfield Tong as vice president. The next gathering is set for the last Thursday in August 1914.
