Tie Vote Cast for Big Spring Trustees Clouse Reinhart
In Big Spring township Seneca county a tie vote occurred for trustee between Peter Clouse and Henry Reinhart. On Saturday they drew lots at township clerk Joseph Wetch’s home west of New Riegle and Reinhart won. Last week Republicans won the trustee J Lenner and appraiser Adam Grineland positions for the first time in thirty years.

Samuel Lytle’s Life and Obituary Highlights
Samuel Lytle born February 5 1826 in Fairfield County died after six weeks illness. He worked as a blacksmith in Carey and later owned the corner where the Doreas Carey Public Library stands. He fathered four children and left a large family including Archibald in Indiana and several grandchildren. Funeral held at Lutheran church with Rev Spaid officiating and burial in Spring Grove cemetery.

Everett Myers Robbed on North Main Street Bridge
Everett Myers was held up at gunpoint near the North Main Street bridge over Rock’s Run in Goshen Indiana Sunday midnight. Two men robbed him of six dollars and thirty cents then fled. He traveled to Ligonier next day for work with W M Hermon.
