Water rise at searching area near dam deepen probe
Two college students disappeared when their canoe capsized at Brinkhavers Dam on the Mohican River in Knox County. One victim, Donald Clapper, 20, of Canton, was found downstream. William Wood Jr., 20, of Upper Sandusky remains missing as search efforts face rising river levels and strong currents. volunteers, civil defense, Red Cross, and local residents assist, while efforts to lower water by opening an old mill run are debated due to potential damage. May 12 rains and upstream dam closures complicate the search as divers work from Wyandot County and nearby communities.
