Ohio State University announced twenty agricultural scholarships awarded annually for four years at up to 250 dollars each. Last Chapel Services Highlight Carey High Year

John A Fox of Salem Township Dies at 71

John A Fox formerly of Salem township died at his son Rudolph Fox’s home near Fremont last Sunday at 3 45 am from complications after a six month illness. He was 71 and survived by nine children from Cleveland Fremont Tiffin Bascom and other towns plus 40 grandchildren. Funeral was Wednesday at 9 30 am at St Joseph church Salem township with burial in St Joseph cemetery. Pallbearers were his sons Henry Frank Rudolph Andrew Fred and Alvin Fox.

McCutcheon and Smithville granges joined Champion to confer third and fourth degrees at Upper Sandusky on May 21 1928. The session opened in the fourth degree with Champion degree team in charge. Harvesters march and tableaus completed the proceedings amid a timely pot luck lunch. May 18 1928 McCutcheon Grange No 2360 opened with 10 officers. three candidates elected after ballots. A literary program featured a clarinet quartet and discussions on fertilizer value and homemaking roles. Next meeting set for June 1 with Grange Publicity as topic.

Upper Sandusky May 11 1928 McCutcheon grange led candidates to Upper Sandusky for first and second degrees Grand Prairie grange of Marion county sent its team for the same degrees producing 39 new members from Champion McCutcheon and Smithville. The event featured an orchestrated program, a dancing goat, remarks by local officials, and post meeting refreshments.
