Students from the music department presented a chapel program with Prof. Frank B. Miller as chair. The orchestra conducted by Prof. McShearer performed, the girls' quartet sang, and Miss Millhine and Miss Coon performed piano and vocal pieces. The program closed with orchestra selections and received warm appreciation from Carey students and faculty.

The Little Theatre Club held a 6:30 dinner in the high school dining room with escalloped potatoes meat loaf hot rolls creamed peas and carrots celery olives pickles and fruit. Victrola music dancing and cards followed. The club, sponsored by Miss Sawyer, has been one of the year's most successful, providing student theatre and training.

Death of F H Brown on farm near Carey
The community mourns the death of Frank Henry Brown aged 69 at his farm four miles southwest of town from valvular heart disease while watering chickens. He lived on the same farm his entire life, married Huldah Enos in 1882, and leaves six children eight grandchildren and three brothers. Funeral services were held at Christ Lutheran Church with burial in Spring Grove cemetery.

Ministerial Chorus tours Ohio towns with gospel program
Rev O D Myers and the Evangelical Ohio Ministerial Chorus, 45 voices, toured Mansfield Akron and Canton last week. They broadcast from Akron at 10 o clock and sang at Sunnyside Hospital for 200 tubercular children. In Canton they performed at the courthouse steps and at the workhouse dining hall where prisoners were guests. Rev E D Paulin of Tiffin directed this unique Ohio group.

Pilgrimage to Shrine Opens May 17 with Special Train Excursions
The Spring Pilgrimage to the Shrine of Our Lady of Consolation begins Saturday May 17 with a Solemn Novena through May 25. On Thursday May 22 a day of special devotion, the Big Four runs a Carey excursion from Sandusky, Clyde and Tiffin. The Biz Four runs a train from Terre Haute Indianapolis and Louisville on Saturday May 24, returning to Carey Sunday at 4 00 pm.
