Infant son of Molin dies shortly after birth

Death by Own Action at Galt House
A guest at the Galt House committed suicide Wednesday night. The chambermaid found him on the bed with bloodstained bedding and a severed throat after cutting wrists and limbs. The man, about 70, identified as A Fi Goldsborough from Findlay, had ties to Compton Brothers and carried subscriptions and premiums for Agricultural Life. He left a note naming Caul Smith in Columbus and was buried Sunday at Brayton cemetery.

The Wholesale Merchants and Manufacturers Board of the Toledo Commerce Club will visit Carey next Tuesday May 19 with about sixty leaders of major local firms traveling by Pullman. They arrive from the north on the Big Four at 4 20 and stay until 5 20. No orders will be taken. The mayor plans a reception with a band to welcome them and urge good words for Carey as streets and shops are prepared indoors for display.
